  Overview
The teacher project pack contains a project overview, objectives, and guidelines; correlations to Illinois state learning standards; extensive list of cross-curricular extension activity ideas; and links to related online resources from the Library of Congress.

Students are active learners when they are engaged in real activities. This project allows students to become familiar with primary sources while learning about Abraham Lincoln and his accomplishments and fostering a personal connection to one of our nation's most revered presidents.

To complete the project students will:

  • view primary sources relating to Abraham Lincoln.
  • learn basic facts about Abraham Lincoln.
  • compare aspects of Abraham Lincoln with themselves.
  • complete hands-on activities to foster a personal connection to Abraham Lincoln and synthesize their learning about this president and themselves.
